Coventry City at Tottenham Hotspur

"I thought Kulusevski just for the fans, just for the fans, because they waited him on the pitch." Roberto De Zerbi on sending on a returning Dejan Kulusevski for Mohammed Kudus, who could have finished. With James Maddison back too, Spurs have "another atmosphere."

"If we don't react together in the tough moment, we have to change sport. We have to play golf." Roberto De Zerbi on Spurs reacting after conceding to Man United and Coventry. Before Old Trafford, he told a squad meeting: "We can't move on if we don't take more responsibility."

Midfield injuries pushed Spurs to a back three, Roberto De Zerbi said. Conor Gallagher returned two days before the game after medics warned he might miss it; Mateus Fernandes had trained only the last two days. No new injuries, Andrew Robertson included: "nothing important."

"I thought VAR would cancel it." Coventry's Frank Lampard said Omar Marmoush's elbow was high and hit Milan van Ewijk on the Spurs goal. He cited a corner, a foul on Brandon Thomas-Asante and a late advantage not played: "the little bits add up... That's all I'll say about it."

"He knows where he can find me. I stay in my office from 8:30 until the evening." Spurs' Roberto De Zerbi on Richarlison's social media posts. Asked about a January move, he said he'd decided nothing and it's no longer his problem: ask Vinay Venkatesham and Johan Lange.

Spurs' Sávio is out "for some weeks" with a muscle problem, Roberto De Zerbi said. Lucas Bergvall hurt his knee in Manchester, played on, and is out about two weeks. Dejan Kulusevski, who "suffered too much", is on the bench against Coventry. Pedro Porro "maybe" plays at Chelsea.
